How to Set Up an IPTV Player on Samsung and LG Smart TVs

Samsung and LG Smart TVs can use compatible media-player apps directly, but the available app names and interfaces depend on the television model and store. The player app does not include channels or a subscription.

Check the TV first

Open the TV settings, confirm the software is updated and note the exact model. Connect to a stable network and make sure the date and time are correct.

Choose a supported player

Search the official TV app store for a compatible player such as Smarters Pro, IBO Player or HotPlayer. Availability differs between TV generations. Verify the developer and avoid downloads from unknown websites.

Understand the two common setup methods

Some players let you enter a server address, username and password directly on the TV. Others display a MAC address and device key; you then add the playlist through the player’s official web portal.

Direct login steps

  1. Open the player and choose the provider-login option.
  2. Enter the private details exactly as supplied.
  3. Save the profile and wait for the categories to load.
  4. Test Live TV, the guide, movies and series.

MAC and device-key steps

  1. Write down the MAC or Device ID and Device Key shown by the app.
  2. Open only the player’s official playlist portal.
  3. Add your authorized playlist information.
  4. Restart the TV app and refresh the playlist.

When the remote feels difficult

Use favorites and hide unused groups to reduce scrolling. If the player does not work well with your TV model, a separate Android TV, Google TV or Fire TV device may offer a smoother interface.
